And the Winner Is... "Ali Baba gets fortyfried at the Real Food Cafe"

Last month we challenged our social media followers to help us come up with the best pun to feature in our annual advert for the Killin Drama Club Killin Panto programme for the 2024 Panto, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. The audience did not disappoint...

Just like John Lewis has become famous for their heartwarming Christmas ads, we are known for our Panto ads in this corner of the world. Here's a selection of our adverts over time, which we also proudly display in our newly renovated staff room.

Little did we know that the winning pun, according to our esteemed judging panel, would come from none other than our Panto Director, Gordon Hibbert himself.
It was a tough competition, though. We received many well thought-out witty entries from other contestants and selecting the winner was not easy.

The Killin Panto takes place in January and it never fails to entertain and delight audiences of all ages. We encourage you to get your tickets and if you can, join us at the Cafe for some pre-theatre refuelling. Our award-wining fish and chips will set the stage for a delightful evening. 

Plus, one of our very own, Jasmine, assumes a role in the Panto, so that's another great reason not to miss it.
