August Pick N Chips Litterpick Postponed

Stop the Press!

We have an important update regarding our upcoming "Pick n Chips" litterpicking event at The Real Food Café in Tyndrum, originally scheduled for Sunday, August 25th.

Reflecting on July’s Success

But first, let's reflect on July's litterpick, which was once again a tremendous success (if you can call it that...).

Twenty-five volunteers of all ages from various locations, including Killin, Crianlarich, and even Fort William, came together for our 28th "Pick n Chips" event. Under beautiful summer skies, the dedicated team collected an impressive 46 sacks of rubbish—amounting to around 250 kg, or a quarter of a tonne. The collected waste included a variety of items from roadside and layby areas, such as nappies, wet wipes, cans, and bottles.

This means that during our 2024 litterpicks to date alone, we have already collected 181 sacks!!

In appreciation of their hard work, participants enjoyed coffee and cake before the clean-up and were treated to fish and chips afterward. This gesture of thanks is a small token of gratitude for their participation.

The litterpick will be held on Sunday, November 24th, instead. Please register if you'd like to attend and take note of the litterpick dates scheduled for the rest of 2024.
