Modernisation Phase Two Is Here
In 2023, we embarked on a 3 year modernisation programme designed to future-proof our business which is running up to our 20th anniversary in April 2025.
On Monday, 5th February, we're starting phase 2.
This means that the Cafe will be closed for 4 days and we'll be working fast and hard behind the scenes to bring you an even better Real Food Cafe experience! This includes:
- New windows & front door,
- back-of-house tile makeover for a fresh look and easier maintenance and
- a few front-of-house layout changes including the return of the popular second long and high shared table and repositioning of our cake display.
Just to remind you, last year we modernised the kitchen, the KP areas and the loos and you can read all about the first stage of our modernisation in this blog post.
In-between these two phases we also installed a new walk-in fridge, freezer, new shelving & storage racking for our supplies and equipment which happened in December 2023. Modernisation also affects our menu and so at the start of 2024, we introduced some new menu items and you can read all about them in the linked blog post.
Due to frequent requests, we'll also roll out packed lunches for hikers and anyone on a big day out in the great outdoors. Stay tuned.
So, that's 5-8 February (closed from Monday to Thursday, open again on Friday), take note, we wouldn't want you to make a wasted journey coming along whilst we are closed. Thank you very much for understanding and your ongoing support.
