Real Food Café at the finish line of Highland Fling Race 2018
The last weekend in April means only one thing in Tyndrum, the Highland Fling Race! We’ve been proud supporters of the Ultra Trail Marathon since its inaugural race in 2005, when only 11 racers took on the 53 mile course.
Now in its 14th year, we saw over 650 racers cross the finish line of the Highland Fling 2018. We were there with our pop up café keeping the spectators warm and fed during the race, and at the finish line to greet the runners with Baked Potatoes and Ice Cream with a little help from our friends at Innis & Gunn, Albert Bartlett, Mackie’s of Scotland, MacSween Haggis and Mrs Tilly’s.
Our fruit and veg supplier JM Breckenridge of Oban also kindly donated two fruit and veg baskets to raffle off for Breast Way Round with the money going to Cancer Research and Target Ovarian Cancer.
Highland Fling Race Director John Duncan was on hand to pick the winners; Ian Harrison and Iona Underwood. Well done to both of them, and of course to everyone who participated in this year’s Highland Fling.
We’ll see you again in 2019!
