Two Iconic Scottish Food Brands Unite to Promote Bold New Crisps Flavours

Two iconic and much-loved Scottish food brands have partnered this spring to support the launch of Taylors Snacks’ three exciting new crisp flavours – Fiery Pickled Onion Ridge Cut, Blazin’ BBQ Straight Cut and Chip Shop Curry Sauce Ridge Cut.

The collaboration sees the new Chip Shop Curry Sauce flavour pay homage to The Real Food Café’s popular accompaniement to its award-winning fish and chips, the classic chippie curry sauce.

Based in Tyndrum on the West Highland Way, The Real Food Café is an iconic pit stop for walkers, cyclists, road-trippers, and outdoor enthusiasts heading into the Scottish Highlands.

The partnership celebrates the shared values of both brands – proudly Scottish, rooted in family, and focused on delivering bold flavours and quality food with integrity. The new products will be available from April 3 in all Lidl GB stores as part of the supermarket’s limited offer promotions.

A wider rollout is planned later in the year. James Taylor, Managing Director at Taylor’s Snacks, said: “We’re delighted to partner with The Real Food Café, supporting the launch of these bold, new flavours. To help bring Chip Shop Curry Sauce to life, we were on the look out for an award winning, Scottish chippy. Cue the amazing Real Food Café! We shared some fairly ambitious content ideas with them, and they were more than up for the partnership. It’s great to see Scottish food brands come together like this.

Sarah Heward, Founder of The Real Food Café, added: “Our curry sauce has become a bit of a cult favourite over the years, so we were thrilled when Taylors approached us to partner with them on the launch campaign of the three new flavours.

The collaboration is a celebration of two Scottish brands bringing the very best quality food to the market, and having a bit of fun along the way! Taylor's crisps have been a popular ‘to-go’ snack, often purchased by walkers refuelling at the cafe since we started stocking them, so we're very excited to see how the new flavours will go down.”

This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Real Food Café, with events and more brand collaborations planned over the coming months.

The Taylor’s Snacks and Real Food Café collaboration will feature in dedicated social and digital content, including behind-the-scenes footage of the campaign shoot and customer reaction to the new flavours at the café.
