We are over the moon to have been judged as the winners of the Regional Final in the fabulous VisitScotland #ThistleAwards which means we now go forward to the National Finals to be held in March 2020 in Edinburgh.
15 years ago when we opened the café, you could eat really well in Scotland but it was very expensive to do so. We wanted to try and change that and make our menu far more accessible.
Over recent years we have seen the Informal Eating Out scene in Scotland develop hugely and we are honoured to have been judged to be at the leading edge of this crucial sector within Scottish hospitality.
Our use and promotion of Scottish Ingredients and marketing the wonderful foods Scotland has to offer in the café has played a major part in our success as a business and in this competition.
On this subject, we recently carried out some customer market research, gathering over 600 responses. One of the questions that was answered most positively was with regard to customers valuing Scottish ingredients on the menu and a massive +80% said this effected their choice of place to eat out.
