Our Cinnamon Muffin Rolls Make the Scotland Food & Drink Awards Final!

At the Real Food Cafe we're known for our award-winning fish and chips but we're about so much more.

Our selection of scrumptious homebaking has been stealing the spotlight lately with our Cinnamon Muffin Rolls making it to the 2025 Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards Final for Bakery Product of the Year, sponsored by Scottish Bakers!

We’re especially proud of this achievement because our team spent the entire night baking cinnamon rolls for the judges’ tasting. To guarantee maximum freshness, our bakers worked through the night so they could be delivered to Musselburgh by 9am — that's true dedication!

Our cinnamon buns are also the only sweet product on the list of finalists.

We also want to congratulate our friends at Taylor’s Snacks, who made the final in the Savoury Accompaniment Product of the Year category with their Lightly Salted Ridge Cut Crisps.

We’ll find out if our swirls take home the title at the Scotland Food & Drink Awards ceremony this September. Until then, we’ll just have to wait — but you don’t have to! You can enjoy them anytime when you visit us on your trip through the stunning Scottish Trossachs National Park and on your way to the Scottish West Coast.
